Where We’re At: A Little Update from the Workshop

Well, would you look at that.
Made Genuine has been quietly growing behind the scenes — and we figured it was about time we popped our heads up from the workbench to give you all a little update.

First off... we’re still here. Still in Texas. Still making wallets, bags, journals, and (let’s be honest) a little bit of a mess while we’re at it. But the kind of mess that smells like leather, coffee, and a whole lot of dreams.

Since our last update, a few things have changed — some planned, some totally unexpected (like the time my car broke down and led to our newest wallet design... but that’s a story for another post). The point is: Made Genuine has been growing, stretching, and learning how to walk a little taller.

We launched new products (The Hitchhiker is quickly becoming a favorite), we upgraded some tools (hello, new stitching pony!), and we finally — finally — started to see some of our big-picture dreams start taking shape. No, we don’t have a big fancy storefront yet, but we’ve got something better: folks like you who continue to support, cheer us on, and carry our work into your everyday life. That means more to us than we can put into words.

Honestly, this whole thing still feels a little surreal. We started with scraps of leather at the kitchen table. Now we’ve got a tiny (but mighty) corner of the internet, new designs rolling out, and a growing community of people who believe in slow-made, story-filled goods as much as we do.

And we’re not done yet.
We’ve got more products in the works, more behind-the-scenes stories to share, and, yes, more dreams of one day opening a workshop space where you can come in, sip some coffee, smell the leather, and maybe even make something with your own hands.

But for now?
We’re grateful. We’re excited. And we’re still learning to celebrate the small wins (like remembering to post a blog update...).
