How It All Began

What started as a simple idea between my wife and me — to create something with our hands that would last — quickly became a calling. We didn’t set out to start a business. We set out to make gifts. Gifts for friends, family, and eventually, strangers who would become part of our story.

Our earliest days were spent at the kitchen table, with scraps of leather, simple tools, and a vision: to create pieces that could be carried, used, and cherished for years. We wanted to make things the right way — slow, intentional, and full of heart.

What Made Genuine Stands For

Made Genuine is more than leather goods. It’s a belief that everyday items can be beautiful, purposeful, and lasting. It’s about rejecting cheap, throwaway culture and embracing craftsmanship that honors the time and care that went into making it.

Our products are simple: journals, wallets, bags, pouches. But each one carries a piece of our story — and, we hope, becomes part of yours. Every stitch, every cut, every detail is done by hand. We don’t mass-produce. We make with care, for the person who will carry it.

Building for the Future

We’re also building toward something bigger. One day, we hope to have a space where others can come learn the craft, work with their hands, and discover the satisfaction of creating something real. We want to provide meaningful work for those who value integrity, patience, and skill — and who, like us, want to make things that matter.
